Celebrating my dad fifty first

My dad turns 51 today (well, its midnight now so it was yesterday ). My siblings and I went over to surprise my dad, of course with the help of my mom/brothers coordinating. I love planning surprise bday events!

Constantly saying “Shhhhhhh” to all the rowdy kiddos…. these boys were goofing and giving me funny faces…

Hehe, I find it funny/cute at times… cos’ my parents usually ‘clap’ or ‘put their hands together’ on these surprises… Now, thinking about it – its no surprises in our family for my parents. These surprise became traditional when the sisters and I start working in our teens

Spring is one of my favorite season. I wish it last longer in Minnesota…. Like I was telling my sister the other day.. Spring and Fall come and go too soon… you hardly get enough time to appreciate the beauty blooming green and the color turning orange. Yesterday, my sister, Monee and I took my nieces on night out for frozen yogurt! I’ve been seeing so many photographs of these ‘cool’ frozen yogurt… I was excited and absolutely pleased with the results! On another note, I have never photograph any session during night time, and the single photo below really inspired me to have a night session!

Yesterday, I woke up to find a beautiful dust of snow on branches, plants, and cars. It was just the perfect dust or shall I use the word “sprinkle?” of snow. Thanks to my little niece who happen to be very cooperative that morning. We had a quick 10 minutes session outside. I love, love when Minnesota’s snow is just like this

If I was to title Milo and Rupesh’s love bird session, I would called it, “shy love.” They’re so shy, sweet, and humble! It was a pleasure being able to share this nice, fall weather with them both.

My sisters and I are not pros at shooting videos- but we decide to give a shot when we couldn’t find anyone to do the videos for Fresh Traditions Fashion Show V (freshtraditionsfashion.com). During the “introduction to the required piece” video shoot, I was able to capture some shots of Rubie with my Rebel XT using the 85mm & tamron 28-85mm. I photograph face shots mainly, because the outfit was a bit cheesy :\ My sisters and I put it together without any sewing and cutting – and we both already have a vision that we’ll be focusing up close/detail shots. Please enjoy!
